The Mars Volta's first cd De-Loused In The Comatorium is an amazing cd... Frances The Mute was decent. I havent heard their new stuff but I heard it was very different. Overall a great band. At The Drive-In was better, but whatever.

I liked mars volta more

in casino/out owned hardcore though.

at the drive in and mars volta are in completely different genres. i couldn't compare them.

i wouldn't have taken you as a killswitch fan, ubt that's cool.

The Mars Volta opened for the Chili Peppers a few weeks ago and everyone I know who went said they sucked.

i think mars volta is a bit of an acquired taste. i can't imagine your friends would be into them.

RHCP and Mars Volta are nothing alike...i don't see why they'd open for RHCP....

and yeah i think anti is right is mentioning them to be an aquired taste...but their first album is absolutly beauftiful and the second one is good too...haven't heard the new one yet though.

The same beat? Yeah their songs are long but a 6 year old could tell they definitely do not follow the same beat for the whole song. Try actually LISTENING before you make naive comments.
