Oh yea, guess where i am going tonight? going to see red hot chili peppers and mars volta in the continental airline arenas again.
Booyakasha.
They were amazing last night...out of all the songs i love from them, they didnt play only about 4 or 5... there was an awesome like 1000 flourescent light bulb thing back stage and another coming out over the audience. each bulb was like devided into like 5 sections so huge designs and ppictures could be put on the bars...and for each song, there were mini music vedos up there so its not like each bar was unicolored....there were four cameraman in front of the stage and each could send live feed to the massive screen and add effects in the process. that was insane ...and at one point the feed switched thru each of the 4 cameras in succession over and over really fast while they were all watching anthony...so it looked liek a flipbook kinda thing...it was incredible...Before the show, they gave each of us pen lights, and before Snow, they said they were gonna take footage for the music video and for us to use the lights.,...amazing.....definately the best show i've ever gone to......and guess who was sitting behind me?, the one and only [url:d6700]http://imdb.com/name/nm0005286/[/url:d6700] Haley Joel Osment
Mars volta never knows when to fucking stop, their songs'll drag on for like hours and it's not even that interesting when they keep repeating the same yodels and riffs.

? usually their songs bust out into some sort of random jam session that progresses and builds.
They're not bad for imo, it's just I thought a lot of their songs on the new album were weak b/c all they were were buildups of the same beat and it would just drag on and on, but there were a couple I liked
I went to RHCP about a month ago when they were here. They were decent, not great. Not the best concert i've seen. and the mars volta i don't really listen to, but i didn't really like them anyway.

So anyways, I was standing there waiting to use the pay phone.
Doug Butabi: And this guy who was on the phone, turns around and tips his hat like this.
Steve Butabi: And who do you think that guy was?
Doug Butabi: Emilio Estevez.
Steve Butabi: The Mighty Duck man, I swear to God, I was there.
Doug Butabi: Of course you were, you were the one who yelled the Breakfast Clubber's name.
Steve Butabi: I was like, "Emilio."
