Go to one of the games...if you can get a ticket. They have a very long history and they hate each other, but in the end they show enormous respect. You have to witness it or know someone who went to one of the schools. Just because they aren't as good as other teams doesn't mean they aren't as competitive with each other. And it's not their fault that they aren't very good either. (Even though Navy is pretty good right now, considering they are an Academy) |

It doesn't make any sense to me how Penn State cannot be considered outright Big 10 (11 oOo: ) champs when they share the same amount of losses in conference yet they beat Ohio State.
There's a great book on the Army/Navy rivalry, A Civil War, and I would reccomend it to any college football fan. Anyways my Cornhuskers are struggling under year two of the post-option Callahan "corn coast offense" era. I can't see him lasting more than three years, and if he does it's only good for Nebraska. Did anyone else see Vanderbilt beat Tennessee today? It sure must suck for Vols fans to know your team has MNC caliber talent but every year the coaching staff (particularly on the offensive side of the ball) seems to f*ck it all up. |
