Text for German Taunts
 

Does anyone know where I can find the written text for the German taunts in MoH:AA? Thanks.

Ah, gotcha. But he wasn't asking how to spell it.

THey're the same taunts as the US. You can find them in pak6.PK3/Global/localization.txt

And yes, Babelfish sucks. It often gives you the wrong dialect.

i know there is a german taunt mod out there because i've seen it. i just never asked about it :(

i just tried translating it, and the german looks like nothing like what it's supposed to be. eek:

I'm not German, but I know (some) German. Well then, here goes. I'm pretty sure the list is complete and quite correct. If not, say so.

Note: ß is pronounced as 'ss'

Gib mir Deckung -> Cover me
Ich gebe dir Deckung - I'll cover you
Folge mir -> Follow me
Du benehmst die Spitze -> You take point
Du benehmst die Führung -> You take the lead
Unter Beschuss, wir brauchen Hilfe -> Taking fire, need some help
Vorwärts -> Charge
Angriff -> Attack
Feuer -> Fire
Alle Mann vorwärts -> Squad, move in
Alle Mann zurück -> Squad, fall back
Rechter Flanke angreifen -> Squad, attack right flank
Linker Flanke angreifen -> Squad, attack left flank
Stellung halten -> Squad, hold this position
Feuer Deckung (geben) -> (Give) Covering fire
Alle Mann/Kompanie sammeln -> Squad, regroup
Durch ihnen kommen wir um -> He's going to get us killed

Sorry, but you're wrong.

In the game the taunt is: 'Angriff!'.

'Ein Angriff' means 'An attack'.

'angreifen' means 'to attack' (the verb).

See mohaa folder\main\sound\dialogue\Multiplayer\g\ and play GRden_c_09x.WAV...

Sie hören dann offensichtlich 'Angriff!'

Mach erst mal Schießübungen!

Yea, you're right. In spearhead it's 'angreifen' though, which makes more sense cuz it's a team message, telling them 'to attack', not just saying 'an attack'.

ah well....

those germans sure do have pronounciation problems though

so... is there any way I can change the text taunt for germans only, so american taunts are still in english and axis is in german? I tried it and can't seem to figure it out.

Französichen Schülerinnen schießen besser; Französichen is spelled incorrectly, the correct spelling is: Fransösischen (ichen <-> ischen).

I don't know how to change the text in the game, captain_howdy. However, if you find a way, let me (us) know, bitte.

Its got to do with a lot of things, I'm sure thats why everyone wants it.

Anyway, I don't think its possible to change the text for axis only, I tried to change it in uberdialog.scr but it won't work, and that localization file changed the text for allied and axis, so for now its going to be binds for me cool:
