I've found a new girlfriend

Her name is the C6 GPMG or General Purpose Machine Gun for you civies out there.

This thing is bloody amazing. Shot it at the range today and it is the most accurate weapon I have fired yet. Thats scary for a machine gun. This thing can give indirect fire up to 1.8km. That is nuts to have 7.62mm bullets raining down on you and you can't even see the gunner. These things are so beautiful; to look at and to fire I wish I could sleep with it.

Just look at that beauty. It sounds so nice and its kick is just right.

I go to Wayneright for those who are wondering on Sunday for a 1 week Field Training Exercise (FTX). I will get about 10 hours of sleep total during the entire week, but I will be firing the Karl Gustav SRAAW (Short Range Anti Armour Weapon) AKA Rocket Launcher with live rounds on the range as well as chucking M67 hand grenades. I'll be digging a trench for 8 hours and then do section attacks for a few hours. Man its going to be awesome. Were doing Recce patrols as well. I can't wait.

Hope everyone is well. And don't swear in this thread because if you do I can't read it like my last thread because of some internet blocker thingie. I'll be back on the boards regularly in about a week and a half. Until then happy trails to you.

wow. glad your having fun. I think if i ever went into the military i could do the physiocal part its the part where doing it without sleep im bad at. i cant even walk if i miss alot of sleep. i normally sleep around 10 hours a night. today i got called into work at 9 so i was compleatly wasted all day. anyways. hope you have fun. glad you like it.

Glad your enjoying yourself ninty9, just dont ask you new "girlfriend" for a blow job.

Captain Bunny 08-16-2003 09:49 AM

Thats cool youre having a great time lad. Do you get to choose what you want to do after training? Will you get to choose to be faithful to your new girlfriend?

Bean 2 08-16-2003 09:56 AM

Just remember to wear a rubber and lube it up before inserting it. Ease it in and be a gentlemen about it.

If you were shot down i think you'd want something more than a de. While they are incrediablly powerful, they only hold 7 rounds. You're better off with a beretta. While only 9MM, the muzzle velocity is high enough to be as effective as a colt .45, and it can hold 16-18 rounds, depending on the model.

I'm reserve. Calgary Highlanders, which is Infantry.

And even though the C6 was awesome to fire, I would not want to lug that thing around the battlefield. Its a platoon support weapon so there is only 1 in a platoon, which is good. I'd rather have my trusty C7. And yes, i'm back home now. I went through about 500 rounds of blanks in my C7 over last week in Waneright. Got an arty sim in my trench which was scary as hell because your not supposed to be within 15 metres of the thing when it goes off because it's got the blast of a stick of dynamite. Did recce patrols and section attacks where I went through 6 mags in 10 minutes. Awesome stuff.

Bazooka_Joe 08-28-2003 09:27 PM

Looks alot like our 240.

http://www.hk94.com/m240b.html

Same characterists too: 7.62 ammo, belt-fed, carrying handle. The only thing looking different is our hand guards for the barrel.

Maplegyver 09-02-2003 08:45 PM

Thats the same as a C9 just with the C79 Scope. Take my word for it, you don't really need scopes on machine guns. They get in the way, and besides, thats what tracers are for. biggrin:

Really, they are the same. Diemaco bought the rights to produce them along with the M16A2, M249, etc. Basicly the same guns, the only major differences are the markings on the gun, the name, and the manufactor.

LOL, the good old spray n' pray, eh?

Glad you're having fun.

ninty 09-03-2003 07:46 PM

Its actually harder to hit your target with that scope than it is to use the iron sights. Normally, you just make sure your on with the scope fore a few rounds then look above the scope. You can't see shit through the scope because of all the debris your making.
