[quote:b3626]HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (Dec. 26, 2004) -- Reggie White, one of the greatest defensive players in NFL history, died the day after Christmas, his wife said. He was 43. "Today our beloved husband, father and friend passed away," White's wife, Sara, said in a statement through a family pastor. "His family appreciates your thoughts and prayers as we mourn the loss of Reggie White. We want to thank you in advance for honoring our privacy." A cause of death was not immediately known.[/quote:b3626] Full Article(NFL.com)[/url:b3626] Reggie White first played for the Eagles, but won a Super Bowl with the Packers in 1996. |

Damn, that's a shame. RIP Minister of Defense.
From ESPN.com................... "Through the family pastor, Sara White confirmed her husband's death, saying that she believes White died of respiratory failure related to his sleep apnea. An autopsy is to be performed to determine the exact cause of death." |
Wow...That is fucking terrible news.
RIP...I wonder what caused it. |
They say on foxsports.net that respiratory failure due to sleep apnea.
R.I.P Reg, cya in heaven |
Shame, his nephew goes to my H.S. and he lived about 10 min. from my house. Was a great football player and will always be remembered.
|
He refused to play more games, so the NFL, with their advanced technology, turned off his liver with a remote.

[Not sure if he did or not]. I'm sure his massive size is what got to him. Once you get that big, it gets really tough on your heart. |
It was sleep apnea along with a heart/lung disease.
He was a damn nice person as well as a nice player, RIP |
