Fast Run = Normal Run X 1.1 value...
// Fast Run Speed
// When checked, the speed at which players can run through levels is increased. // Leaving it unchecked defaults to Medal of Honor Allied Assault's original run speed set sv_dmspeedmult 1.100000 ------------------------------------------------------------ This is the line that change Normal Run to Fast Run.... It appears into server.cfg So the admins launching Dedicated servers with executing this server.cfg inside...turn 1.1 into 1.0 value for Normal Default MoHAA speed...or maintain 1.1 value for Fast Run choice... I hope u consider seriously put that number into 1.0 value... About Spearhead...i really want only the engine from Q3... For sure not the FEELING !!! |
TY for the heads up.

Lets not jump the gun.. More research is required. For instance.. it says that the sv_dmspeedmult default is 1.100000 right? Well isn't the default Fast Run?
There is also another cvar called sv_runspeed which has a default of 287.. But again... Isn't the default Fast Run???? Lets do more research and check our findings before jumping the gun and assuming what value is a Normal Moving speed. Update---- I was just informed that normal speed is 1.000000 So again.. Lets do more research and check our findings. |
Hmm.. Well I read the top post again and it looks like you were saying 1.0 is Normal Speed..
But what is the sv_runspeed normal speed value suppose to be? Default is 287 |
Umm. . .k
|
Ok the sv_runspeed is the speed of "normal running speed" in the game. You dont need to change that unless you dont like the "normal running speed".
Now sv_dmspeedmult is a speed multiplier. The 1.0 value is 1 times the "normal running speed" which is still normal (same as the MOHAA run speed). The 1.1 value is 1.1 times "normal running speed" or a speed boost. Clear? |
