RCON ACCESS & BANNING PLAYERS
Hi,
1.How can I permanently ban certain IP adresses from connecting to my server? 2. I need rcon access to my server. I try the following command in the server console: seta rconpassword "whatever" In the console of my "playing" computer i write: rconpassword "whatever" connect "my IP" But it still won't work! What am I doing wrong? Do I need to make these alterations in my .cfg file? If so; where is this file? I can't seem to find it, not even in the mohaa/main/configs directory... PS. I have MOHAA v 1.00 |
Try this:
In a new text file enter the following lines: [code:7efe8]rconAddress xx.xxx.xxx.xx rconPassword xxxxxxxx[/code:7efe8] Save the file in your main folder as rcon.cfg Then add the following to the properties - target line of your mohaa shortcut: [code:7efe8]+exec rcon.cfg[/code:7efe8] This will automatically enable your rcon when you double-click that shortcut. |
Use what Bane said but make sure you put this line in your server cfg:
set rconpassword "xxxxxxxx" You might consider adding the v1.11 patch, it might fix some problems with rcon. |
Get Delator 2.0 to ban players...is a part of that anticheat program...very cool

Thx guys! I've installed Autokick 1.2.1 now, it seems to work ok for banning certain unwanted elements. fire2:
