Do you have Win XP? That seems to be the problem with my freezes. THe game is not fully compatable with Win XP yet.

OMG, finally someone with the same problem as me! I'm running windows XP home, with:
Athlon XP1600+ Gforce 3 512 ddr ram And the game freezes EVERY time, sometimes as soon as i start, sometimes a few minutes in. I have tried everything i know (tried all detanator, sound card drivers), tried all the supposed "gray screen" fixes, just in case it was a similar problem, reinstalled both the demos, and finally reinstalled Windows! Nothing works! All i hope, is that once the retail comes out, they can patch it to fix this (I already preordered and everything)!! If you find anything that works, please tell me! |
sames problems with retail version sorry, a friend who have the retail version (fairlight) say me that, grrr, i think, i send a mail to ea or 2025 for ask a solution

Can anyone else back this up? Could it be a problem with motherboard/vid card combination?
BTW, I just played MP demo for 1 1/2 hours straight, with no freezes! By far a new record (by over an hour!). Unfortunately, I exited, started a single player, and of course it immediatly freezes... BTW #2, If we email 2015/EA, im sure they would be willing to attempt to figure this out and fix it with a patch. Lets just pray for that... I have buy a new pc ( PIV 1.7ghz, geforce 2 ti,...) but i have a problem, when i play to the sp or mp demo of mohaa, the game freeze all times (5mins to 15mins), I have installed another drivers for my graphics cards (21.80 i think) but the games freeze,please help me. I hear some pleoples have the same problems. thanks for your help bye |
Hey, t3rd, what is the email address of where you sent that message, because I think that if everyone who has this problem (you, me, and a few others to my knowledge) sends EA/2015 an email about it, they will try to fix it in the 1st patch.

Thank you for sending your concerns regarding Medal of Honor While the Demo is not officially supported, I can take a look. Please take the following steps. First, make sure that you have closed any programs or tasks running in the background as sometimes one of the programs can conflict with the game. Background applications such as anti-virus programs are often the cause of conflicts. To do this, hold the Ctrl and Alt keys down at the same time and hit the Del key once. This will in turn bring up your Windows Task Manager. Close all the applications that you see hear. Don't worry that you are permanently changing your system configuration; these applications will return when you restart your system. Next, try lowering your audio hardware acceleration. The quickest way to accomplish this is to run the DirectX Diagnostic Tool by clicking on your Start button, select Run and type in "dxdiag" without the quotes. When you click OK, DxDiag should launch. Go to the Sound tab and locate the Hardware Sound Acceleration Level slider. Click on the indicator and drag it down to Basic (second notch from the left). If it's already on Basic (or None), go ahead and try raising it up to Full. There is no need to reboot for the change to take effect, so just click Exit to close DxDiag and try running the game again. You may also need to update the drivers for your sound and video cards. To update your soundcard driver, go to your sound card manufacturers web page and download the most recent windows XP driver available for your Sound card. To update the driver for your video card, first determine what type of video card you have. This information is usually available in the System control panel, in Device Manager, under the display adapters heading. Next, try to obtain a new driver for that device from the manufacturer, either by downloading one from the manufacturer's website or by contacting the manufacturer of the card directly. Installing newer drivers for both of these cards may fix your problem. If you need help installing these drivers, please contact the manufacturer in question, as these drivers are not our products. If none of these suggestions help, please allow me to get a closer look at your system configuration. There's a program called DirectX Diagnostic Tool that will give me some information about your hardware. Go to your Start button, click on Run and type in "dxdiag" (without the quotes). Click on OK and then click on the Save All Information button at the bottom. This will let you save a file called dxdiag.txt to a directory on your hard drive. could this possibly be a cooling problem since it happens a few mins after you start playing?
Try taking the case off and pointing a house fan right at the guts and see if this helps. I know it helped me with my computer, if this does help, get a few more internal fans, I have two 7" fans, one blowing right on my vid card. spook |

Or freeze and you can still switch back to your OS? I would start the game with +developer 1 and take a look at the console (if possible at all) when it freezes. It remains open in the background even while you're playing and should give you some very informative error messages. I have no idea if logging console events is possible though. You can also try posting at the Board of Developers and see if 2015 can help you. [This message has been edited by BadScript (edited January 17, 2002).] |
Man, I'm having the same friggin issue...
I have tried win 98/2k pro/xp pro and all of them crash/freeze the game after a few minutes to 15 minutes. I have tried formating and reinstalling all os's and still get the same problem. I have flashed my bios, bought a new sound card and still have the same damn issue... I have the geforce3 ti200, have tried the current drivers all the way back to 11.? using the detenator destroyer on all occasions. My system specs: ECS K7AMA motherboard 1.2GHz Thunderbird 512MB Crucial DDR RAM VisionTek Geforce3 Ti200 Gamesurround MUSE XL sound card 30gig maxtor 60gig western digital. BTW - these random crashes/freezes happen on the mp demo/sp demo/ & retail version. |
Any word on this? I'm still crashing usually every few minutes.....

i resolv my problems
the game crash on my conputer because i have PC100 mhz and 133mhz sdram memorys noname, and my 100mhz memory don't like to run at 133MHZ http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/smile.gif, now i just put on my motherboard my 133 memorys and the game don't crash http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/smile.gif it's all bye |
