What router?
My router has finally decided to die. So I am now looking at buying a new one, i'd prefer a wired one as the wiring is already in place and I dont see the need to buy a wireless one if the wires are already in place.
I'd prefer one with a built in firewall, decent control panel allowing me to open/close ports with ease, and allowing me to use one of my PC's as a internet server I am currently using this one: Router[/url:b7da9] Any better ones to use? |

router[/url:ca320] always have .. tried a netgear and it was suk. you had to open ports and shit for games etc ... linksys one you do not ... dunno about other brands. Next time, shorten your damn link - Arkan |
US Robotics, 3-com, D-link, = the best. (I also like smc)

Cant go wrong with Cisco biggrin:

If I remember right your a BY customer so you can get a discount from netgear via the link on the BY homepage (beware cos netgear support sucks ) otherwise linksys or 3com

Anything but Linksis, their lowend ones suck. Netgear is pretty good for cheap ones.

I agree with short hand. those are the best, as well as netgear. tigerdirect has some good options and so does maxgroup.com. good luck with that |
I'd still go with linksys over all of them. cisco owns linksys, cant be bad.
|
Linksys has always worked well for me.
