Default What router? - 12-10-2005, 11:51 AM

My router has finally decided to die. So I am now looking at buying a new one, i'd prefer a wired one as the wiring is already in place and I dont see the need to buy a wireless one if the wires are already in place.

I'd prefer one with a built in firewall, decent control panel allowing me to open/close ports with ease, and allowing me to use one of my PC's as a internet server

I am currently using this one: [url=http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&pro duct_uid=44088:b7da9]Router[/url:b7da9]

Any better ones to use?

Anything but Linksis, their lowend ones suck. Netgear is pretty good for cheap ones.

I agree with short hand. those are the best, as well as netgear. tigerdirect has some good options and so does maxgroup.com. good luck with that
