You guys are demented; soon you will want to ban grenades as well. Yeah, accuracy make be off, but in the Normandy invasion, there were artillery, naval bombardemnts, and palnes, something we dont have or control of in multiplayer.

last time i checked grenades fit the timeline

One thing in the game I do not like is that the StG44, aka MP44 can be used in Omaha beach for example in Multiplayer. The StG44 was used first time in the end of 1944, not in June.

I readed the topic about the FG-42.Its a good gun and I honestly had wished that it would replace the StG44.Unfortunately this hasn't happened.

Can someone do something to the thing?Or does someone even agree with me?Thanks.

Actually bazookas were used quite a bit at omaha beach.

<BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Tahoma, Verdana, Arial">quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by acgreen:
Yeah. They didn't have bazooka's either. Nobody on Omaha ran around with Bazookas, StG44s, sniper guns, or anythign like that. Ban them all! Let's just play Omaha with pistols!

OK, I see your point, but I think it's extremely gay. Do you EVER see StG44s in the game until THE END? No. Do you see them on Omaha? No. How gay would multiplayer be if we couldn't use the weapons we want? Very gay.

Err right. So historic accuracy it is then is it?

Bet you can't guess what this means!

The use of the FG42 wouldn't make much historical sense.

The number 42 indicates it entered service in 42, so it did exist by early 44.

FG42 means: Fallschirmjagergewehr 42

Fallschirmjager means "Paratrooper" and "gewehr" is gun.

Which means the FG42 is a PARATROOPER weapon, supplied almost exclusily to Fallschirmjager units in VERY limited quantity (only 7000 were ever made).

So it's presense in large quantities amoung Wehrmacht and SS units would be even more far fetched than the Stg44 as it is in the game now.

Of course since my clan is the 1st Fallschirmjager Division I'd like to use one. http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Woa, dudes, game! Personally, I think that this game is very accurate to the history that went behind it. IMO, it would be less feasible to take out the STG44, than to leave it in. This game was designed to be very realistic, but since it is a game, it has to also contain a certan ammount of fun to it as well. If you look at it, the amount of historically accurate parts of this game greatly outweigh the inaccuracies of it. If you want a completely accurate recollection of the war, there are doccumentaries that you can get to learn off of.
Now, please dont get me worng, im not knockin' your idea of having a historically accurate game, i would love one, but im just saying that its not feasibly possible to make one, since it would turn out as more of a doccumentary than any fun piece of entertainment.

Nay.
