THis is offtopic but I missed the other thread before it was locked. This is quite and undertaking but an excellent idea to revive the site. I like the server ideas and the tourneys. The important thing here is that we have to be welcoming to newer members period.( something this site needs to improve on). I feel this is imperative for this site to grow and be able to expand. Offtopic can still be a place to cut loose, but not on a person's first few visits. This may sound a bit ghey, but what about a welcoming officer/mod or what ever you want to call it. Basically this person could welcome any new members and/or intervene if the new member was unduly flamed on their first few posts( or just communicate a problem to the section leader and let him deal with it).They could also answer any basic questions or basically show the new guy the ropes. This may help out with people registering and posting once and not coming back. Of course, this should also be the members responsiblity as a whole, but there could be one guy who reminds everyone of this on occaision.
