This link will lead you to the national d-day memorial in New Orleans. Apparently the Museum is quite large. This is also the same area that all the higgins Boats weere made for the beach landings.
There's probably going to be a ceremony in City Park like last year...A bunch of WWII vets were there marching along with a lot of cops and firefighters from our city, with Scottish Bagpipes playing in the background. I was in Air Cadets so I got to march in the back with my group.
Hopefully there's going to be something a little better this year.
There's also a Canadian WWII Museum downtown, I haven't been to it yet, but I probably should. I like stuff like that, In Russia I visited a WWII Museum in Moscow. Really interesting; I took plenty of pictures of the weapons and stuff too.
I also heard on the radio that around 1000 WWII vets are dying monthly...really sad.
