Default Im working for Short Hands enemy - 09-21-2007, 06:35 AM

I got a job at Toyota yesterday, they phone me up and sent me some papers to sign. I use to work for a company that made parts for the big three, but they closed down. Toyota is just too big to pass up. im college educated and working production, but hey is fucking Toyota! I dont think i can get a more secure job than that. you know where i will be for the next 20-30 years

Toyota makes decent vehicles, although they have fallen behind GM now in reliability of the vehicles they make.

I used to work at International harvester which is now Navistar building trucks on the assembly line. It paid damn well and there was a lot of collage graduates working there. Some guys were sweeping the floors with 4 years of collage. Then there was always the, so you had to go to collage to learn how that broom worked. biggrin:

Its like toyota, the money is too good to pass up, collage or not.

All most every job is nothing but repetitive bullshit, I know it sucks ass but im looking more for job security than money. if anything i can finally move out of my parents basement.
if anything i guess i could move around to different departments or time for some kind of leadership position in the future, but right now im happy to do production work. i dont care how repetitive it is, i know i will love it.

Are you sure they are not hiring you on contract ? That is what most of the automakers do now. 18 month contracts. then they scratch you, or hire you on.
