No. Headphone quality is independant of your sound card's quality: you
could have the best headphones and a SB 16; which would give you bad
sound. Also, you could have crappy headphones and the best soundcard
in the world and you wouldn't really be able to enjoy it. If your headset
has the potential for great sound, getting a sound card that can deliver
to it would be nice...
Some sound cards are crap for Headphones, the onboard ones anyway. A friend of mine had low volume in his headphones with settings on high. Got a new $30 sound card...problem solved.
