Default Infantry combat - 08-06-2005, 07:16 PM

Whats everyones take on how the infantry combat in this compared to bf:nam and 42? Personally i think the infantry combat in bf:nam was the best of the bunch, didn't seem to rely on that weird cone of fire thing that this game has. To me this game seems more akin to BF:1942 in terms of infantry shit, just seems like the luck of the draw if your bullets go where you want them to.

BFV infantry combat was basically just charging with M60s (which also magically had M79s with them) and firing. BF2 has a much better system but the weapons themselves need mod adjustments.

combat in bf42 was solid after a few patches. bfv was gay until they nerfed the m60. overall i prefer the bf2 combat. ive adjusted well to the weapons and feel comfortable with any of them....except the sniper rifles....they suckl ass

Acually I used to hate the sniper rifles, but now I hit my targets nearly all the time, the problem is it takes me two or three shots to kill them.

I always enjoyed the infantry combat in the DC mod [42], but I suppose that is only because we [me, ginger, himmler, and the big bunch] would really just play togethor. Some GOOD GOOD times in DC. rock:

bf1942 = everyone was doing their own thing, lots of newbies playing but it was great.

bf vietnam: same thing just not as fun.

bf2: people have more direction, groundcombat improved, teamwork is high, very fun.

I never bought BFV as it did not seem as solid as BF1942.

I think the teamwork in BF2 overshadows both very easily. For the first time in a BF game if you dont have a vehicle you can still have fun.
