I look around at these bushes... and man, enemy soldiers could come out
and shoot at us, killing most of the people in the squad out of surprise. Oh
I don't want it to happen, I love these fellas, I would die for them. Blah blah
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah ......
Thanks for that...it's just, every so often, a movie based on a book will share
a lot of storyline and dialogue with that book!...bizarre, I know... oOo:
I would say it was a festival/war film....It is more of a character analysis piece than an action film depicting the physical horrors of war, like SPR. I believe the makers were trying to depict the mental impact of soldiers at war, in TRL.
...yeah, it highlighted that for many soldiers it was like 95% anxiety-loaded boredom,
and 5% life or death, state-sanctioned mayhem...
I think it's a lot like BoB, where not every episode is full on battle but more about individuals and military structure...
sure, the movie could have done without the "...why's a flower, why's a tree..." bits....whatever. happy:
