they use sea-lions now?
I know for a fact that both the US and USSR experimented with dolphins to combat enemy divers. The US even used some operationally in Vietnam, and the divers/saboteurs got scared shitless when their buddies didn't come back and gave up. I even hear that in some parts of 'Nam people are still afraid to go into the water because of "trained killer dolphin" rumors.

Why not. The Russians used dogs with time bombs strapped to their backs to combat German tanks.

It's one of those obscure facts that I read in a book, shich of course I cannot find. I remember laughing like crazy when I read it. biggrin:
Some other members on the forum are aware of the practice. It wasn't very successful and was abandoned by the Russians.

That's just wild. So what do they do against mines and torpedos, human-sheild them? heh
But that's just crazy how they can tag them apart from enemy and friendly.

They'd strap a bomb to it, then the dog would run under the tanks and blow em' up!
