Default p4b533 and the 2.4ghz cpu - 04-27-2003, 03:47 PM

http://usa.asus.com/mb/socket478/p4b533/overview.htm

will it work?

here's the part that concerns me:

The P4B533 supports all socket 478 P4 processors including Willamette and Northwood up to 2.2GHz+. The 533MHz FSB increases bandwidth and improves overall system performance.

i have a 2.4ghz cpu so will it work?

the 2.2ghz they're talkign about is made by companies called willamette and northwood, so are they just talking about those 2 companie's 2.2ghz processor?

Yes Germ. You get the board, put the processor in and boot up. Once you get everything running, get the BIOS update from http://www.asus.com for the board, and you're good to go.

PS: Williamette & Northwood are not companies, they are the types of Intel Pentium 4 processors (Like DDR and RDRAM are types of RAM)
