Default Skinning Help - 09-17-2003, 04:33 PM

Ive been skinning for a while and ive made sevral pretty basic skins and want to get better and make more elabrate skins, but need some help. How do you make different shaped helmets like ive seen wwi style helmets and jungle style hats, how do you do that?? And to make more elabrate skins what programs do I need?? Im now using Adobe photoshop but have heard of other skinning programs.

Bumped almost a fucken year?
It's easy to say but hard to do. You make the shape of a helmet in Milkshape and then save it as a certain file type. You have to hollow it out and crop and get it to fit on the head. Then import it in-game. Work it into the .tik and tons of stuff. It's hard.

Ya, ive been screwing around with LR3D on the whole making new models thing for like almost a year, and I somewhat...in a wierd way....did it, but i had to dsave it over an already imported .skd I couldnt figure out how to import it myself....and theres a hell of as lot of other stuff im need help with...ive read through every single tut on the LR3D forums and Im just stuck...does anyone know of a really good detailed tut???
