Default help with this map. - 05-23-2005, 02:17 PM

Im making a map for a contest. It ends in like 2 or 3 days. The idea is to design a realistic screenshot. I need some opinions on what I have so far. Do I need to add some decals, more props, work on lighting? anything will help.
yes it is just a small portion of the map I am currently working on.

Looks good to me, it has an appropriate amount of detail to the buildings and the lighting is pretty good.

Turn AA on and smooth out the rough edges..they're pretty noticable. Dont make the lighting so yellow.. add a hint of white, not too much though.

I betcha the guy who wins the contest has a $7,000 computer..

Yeah, but lights usually arent yellow everywhere. There is some white, then a hint of yellow on the outside...like this:

only way to make the inner white is turn up the brightness on the light. and then it makes the map look like pee.

Question......whats the frame rate in that section? You don't want something that bogs down play. Looks sharp though.

The thing with light is you cant just "spread it" you have to adjust the brightness of the light as well the color. I wish you could just drag the ling to where you want it to go.

The frame rate is surprisingly good. That is the only section of the map that is "done" though. the contest isnt about the map but about a realistic screenshot.
