Anybody have any recommendations for useful utilities/apps for WinXP that would help make my computer faster?

I figured I could find something on Google but I know there are a lot of computer wizzes on here so I figured I'd ask here instead of looking on google where I wouldn't be able to tell which program is the best.

rofl
And thats a pain in the ass to fix. The only way that there is to overclock that im aware of, unless you have software that came with the computer for it, is to use the bios. which i highly DO NOT recommend unless you know fully what you are doing. Other than that, i can help you with anything else you need to do to make your computer run more efficiently

check running processes. if its cluttered with alot of pointless shit, go into msconfig and uncheck anything that isnt useful and hogs system memory; i try to keep a max of 28 running procsses. like everyone said - remove any unwanted apps, avoid installing explodeware (software that tends to install 23432423 other things along with it). stop running system recovery on slave hard drives. im sure theres useful shit on http://www.hardforum.com and loads of info on google. dance: dance: dance: dance: dance: dance: dance: dance: dance:
