Default PSU Help - 02-01-2006, 12:56 PM

My Antec 380 watt decide to shit the bed and stop working, and I'm wondering what you guys recommend in terms of replacement?
I don't need SLi but my specs are:
amd64 3500
6800gt
2gig ram
couple fans and such
any suggestions? not to concerned on price either.

Doesnt really matter, as long as you 400+ watts, if you ask me.

My guess is you're still using the older 20 pin style connector on your mobo? (perhaps post what mobo your usuing) If so look for something with a 20 pin or 20 + 4 pin main connector. I've used this one for several builds and had no problems:

It was cheap (price) but well built. If you don't care about $ then I would go for a bigger name brand like Antec. My preference in that regards is Silverstone, OCZ, and PC Power and Cooling. Not a big Antec fan but that's just me.

Same here Nyck, nice and quiet.

How old is it? Antec is good when it comes to RMA'ing their products.

My last one died, I sent it back RMA, and bought another from Circut City. When the replacement came I took the Circut City one back, played dumb, and got a complete refund.

well turns out it wasn't the damn power supply it was the mobo!! luckily i had an extra one with a fried ram slot so thank you Antec, fuck you MSI! mad:
