So Coleman hasn't been able to use his real computer in over 2 weeks or so.
My HP Pavilion laptop just dies on me. It turns off randomly and then takes a day or two before it decides the power button will work again to turn it back on.
With that being said, I'm searching for a new laptop (after 2 fucking years...should last longer than that).
I came across the HP TX1000 tablet PC that looks pretty sweet:

I did one of those custom builds on that model and came to something around $1300 or so. That's not too bad imo. I am not worried about a huge HD either since I have a 400gig external.
I have been searching everywhere to find practical reviews for the tablet part of it. I can't seem to find if there is a seperate program that youc an write notes with your handwriting and save them as pdf's or what-have-you.
Anyone know anything about that?
I'm looking for a good media PC and HP's have been real nice to me and my family up until the past two weeks with my dead PC. Luckily, I got all my stuff backed up with my illegal copy of Norton Ghost biggrin:
Any other suggestions? I honestly looked at a Mac and they are just too damn expensive. I definitely can't afford one of those, yet alone willing to pay that much for one.
