ok so with me about to format my pc and im looking for a decent firewall program that includes anti virus simple as, and does not clug up so many resources.

any recommendations? what are you guys using?

yeah avg is good. can get it for free. i use avg internet security 7.5 or whatever. Can get a 2 year subscription for 3 licenses for $100. That's what I will be doing when I get my third comp running.

is the firewall in windows xp ok? i mean id rather just run that and then a stand alone antivirus program. plus i have the hardware firewall in my router so i should be ok. or is the xp firewall worthless?

AVG Free antivirus and mcafee personal firewall here.

No problems at all and no clogging.

If you're on XP, remember the Windows Firewall only blocks incoming shit. The one in Vista does in and out, but outgoing is disabled by default. (I can't remember what OS it is you're using Terence.)
