OK, so I'm a total nub when it comes to media stuff on the PC. A friend here at work brought in a couple baked VCDs. I'm copying the files on the cds to a directory on my laptop, but once I've got them, is my only recourse to burn my own vcd using those files/folders?

If not, can I convert the VCD files/folders to a single file like a wmv or mpg or something? I think I'd prefer that.
