Default A Taste of Things to Come! - 07-04-2005, 04:27 PM
I have been planning on doing a comic series for a while now. I finally decided to draw up the advert. today. It is going to be a weekly comic (I guess or a one time deal.). I need some writing help with it cause as many of you know... im not that funny.

anyway heres the advert.

its pretty comical. Its about a group of canoers who are paddling on a river. They find a watermelon floating in an eddie. They pick it up and eat it, with one person saying they shouldnt. Later in the night The Mother Watermelon comes looking for her baby. Hilarity ensues.

sorry dude, but that plot line = oOo:

you'd have to have some pretty brilliant dialogue to save that.

It would also help to have a specific drawing style. IE, thick character boarders, expressions, etc.

Im probably going to ditch this... I cant draw people worth a darn. However doing a series about a handgrenade and his exploits of trying to get kids to pull his pin... maybe.

well heres kinda a starter I drew out for the grenade one.

as you can see I need to work on my script. heres the grenades character.

#3988476 frag grenade: Ran away from grenade training school to become a comedian. Moved to new York City (or some random cit, probab gonna change it to L.A. to get discovered).

Im gonna change some of the script but I need help. if someone would like to help me pm me so we can talk on aim or something.
