Default RTCW map imported into MOHAA... ETA 1 week to download. - 08-21-2002, 11:30 PM

My clanmate ]NBK[Hiwayman has been experimenting with importing RTCW maps into MOH. This evening he sent me a test copy of the map (rtcw mp "comminuque") to try out.

The import turned out quite well as far as brushes/textures go. A few missing things are entities such as machinegun nests etc etc, but all the buildings, boxes, barrels etc etc are there. In fact it pretty much looks identical to the RTCW map. The scale might need tweaking... or perhaps the door frames anyway, as I had to duck to get under a couple doors.
All the weapons from MOH are there as are MP taunts etc etc.

I made a 5 meg video of it (sorry about quality loss.... your bandwidth I factored in..) for those intersted. The video is shot from both RTCW and MOH and more or less follows the same path through the map for comparison sake.

To see the preview of it http://members.shaw.ca/ctrl-alt-del/rtcw-moh.wmv

I hope you enjoy it and are looking forward to its release as much as I.

You'd still have MOH's gameplay, weapons, taunts and of course, whiners. It's just a map built on the same engine nothing more.

so are we talking taking RTCW .map files and compiling them under MoHRadiant or did you recreate them from scratch?

Ripped them off and edited/rescripted where necessary. BSP viewer may have been used.... not sure.

It's mostly to experiment...
