Could be the gfx card as well, had a similar problem a few years ago and it turned out to be the gfx board. annoy:

That as well, thats the prob with pc's when one thing goes wrong theres a shitload of possible suspects, would take you to own a friggin pc parts store half the time to be able to figure out what went wrong.
Whereas with a mac you just hit it with a petrol bomb and buy a new one.

i had a really similiar problem milla a few years ago. turned on pc in the morning, was frozen. rebooted, woulndt post. tried new cpu, worked fine. but i tried the new cpu after i replaced the motherboard and powersupply. i had a new motherboard i bought anyway so i just put it in then to see if that would fix it. didnt, so then i tried a diff cpu at my dads work and it worked fine.

Well if the agp slot is bad in essence the mobo is fried. I tried an old CPU and got nothing still so, my guess and my fathers guess is the motherboard went bad, or atleast a part of it did.I mean it wont even post
