I think that id has shot themselves in the foot honestly. While impressive, the Beta that was released certainly doesn't have HL2's number. Not even close. I'd like to see some comparison shots between the two. And the fact that the video in HL seemed to run alot more smoothly than Doom only shows me how innovative Valve has been.

In regards to the delay, while I dont htink it'll hurt sales, it wont do much to that lead in that HL2 will have.
