There is some other information I require as regards my Realism mod for Spearhead.
Does anyone know the weight (approximately) of equipment carried by infantrymen/paratroops during WWII. Some of the books I've looked give a nice breakdown of equipment, but no weights. This should be based on a standard (ish) loadout, incorparating weapon, ammo, webbing/belts, grenades, and possibly backpack. This information will be used to adjust the movement speeds. I know paratroops jumped with an excess equipment than they actually carried into battle, so it would need to be battle ready rather than pre, or post jump.
