Well if you have a 360 you can buy one for $199 soon, hardly breaking the bank by any stretch of the imagination. Obviously standalone players cost more but they'll come down in price soon enough. |
I tell ya what though, we have a bluray player setup on a samsung HDTV, and its absolutley gorgeous, clearest picture i have ever seen. But then they do the split screen shot showing it in comparison to regular DVD format, and the picture is so blurry, which is bull shit because if dvds were as blurry as they portray it no one would own one. |
You never get true HD unless the film was filmed in HD, Processed properly, Stored on proper media, and delivered and played on HD compoentns/TV's.
The biggest scam out on the market right now is Digital cable itself, the problem is if even 1 out of the 5 mentioned above are not true, then you are not getting "HD".
