Without a doubt, SPR and the two climactic scenes of A: the landing and B: the town as the Tiger tank and company of Germans moved in. Great buildup!
I've never walked out of a theater so affected by a movie as SPR. Same goes for my wife... She doesn't like violence in movies but she said she didn't mind watching the SPR blood and gore because it was so realistic.
