Man, I'm having the same friggin issue...
I have tried win 98/2k pro/xp pro and all of them crash/freeze the game after a few minutes to 15 minutes. I have tried formating and reinstalling all os's and still get the same problem. I have flashed my bios, bought a new sound card and still have the same damn issue...
I have the geforce3 ti200, have tried the current drivers all the way back to 11.? using the detenator destroyer on all occasions.

My system specs:
ECS K7AMA motherboard
1.2GHz Thunderbird
512MB Crucial DDR RAM
VisionTek Geforce3 Ti200
Gamesurround MUSE XL sound card
30gig maxtor
60gig western digital.

BTW - these random crashes/freezes happen on the mp demo/sp demo/ & retail version.
