... until the government wakes up and makes most drugs available and
thus, safer than their street counterparts which would, of course, remain.
Don't you see ? Alcohol and cigarettes are legal: why couldn't we legalize
some of the safer drugs for recreational use and make laws restricting
their usage to chosen locations the same way we tell people not to drink
and drive ? Humor me...

Yeah, do what they did in Holland. You can legallly smoke marijuana and buy it in shops, you just can't smoke a joint on a public place. I think if they legalised some of the less harmful drugs and shopkeepers and companies were allowed to sell and manufacture them commercially, the hazardous street drug dealers will simply go away thus reducing the risk of your children OD'ing on some laced pot.

make...

when you hear about shootings, they are usually drug related. And drug money does support terrorism, and every time you smoke one, you are literally killing your body

Which is why marijuana should be legalised in the privacy of your own home.

If joints are being sold in stores, who's gonna go out and buy drugs off the street?

It's been stated before, fatty foods, salt, tobacco, booze and a whole slew of other shit is bad for you. They're still legal though. So I guess when mommy grids tylenol in your baby food because you have a headahe, she's killing you slowly too because of the side effects.

look what happened when they illegalized alcohol, it created the mafia. When it was legalized again, the mafia got weaker. also, marijuana is scientifically proven not to be as harmfull as cigaretes (if only used like 3 times a month.) if not used constantly, it is alos scientifically proven to be good for your longterm memmory. my dad is a narcotics guy and he thinks that marijuana should be legalized for AT HOME USE ONLY!, he says hed rather risk his life for crack, than a "brick of marijuana that anyone can get anywhere. Onthe other hand, if marijuana is abused, like alcohol is constantly, it can be a negative reaction

smoking a joint is more likely to give you lung cancer than smoking a cigarette...

This is if you smoke the same amount of pot as cigarettes. 1 joint has the same harmful effects as 3 cigarettes. But on average a person might smoke 1 joint a day, but cigarette smokers smoke 10-12 cigarettes per day on average. You do the math.

But, if they did legalize weed, then people might smoke it more often because 1) it will be cheaper most likely with a flooded market and 2) they won't have to worry about using their supply up for the month when they can just go out and buy some very easily. Just a thought.

Absolutely not true.

NO CASE OF LUNG CANCER RESULTING FROM MARIJUANA USE ALONE HAS
EVER BEEN DOCUMENTED.

In fact, the reason for this is because marijuana contains one or more
cancer inhibiting agents. If you care to be enlightened in regard to this
issue, follow the white rabbit:

see what happens... when the word marijuana is mentioned everyone jumps to conclusions. i think certain drugs should be legalized, and i think if the government did some testing with it, some tweaking, and alot more... they could come up with controlled legal substances for consumers, but strict laws would apply such as the limits of where you can use them, boundries of how much, etc. i think if they did this, they wouldnt have to spend so much time trying to stop illegal drug trafficing. instead of wasting it, just killng criminals which can easily be replaced.. they could find their own way to get this stuff on the legal market, stopping illegal drug trafficing (not all), and possibly saving money.
