Mine came from Metal Gear Solid.
End credits reveal that a third snake exists; a middle brother called Solidus
Snake. He possessed all of their qualities and none of their weaknesses. I
also took that name because the solidus can be represented graphically by
making a diagonal line starting from the bottom left, ending to upper right.
It is used to separate numbers in fractions and the percentage sign. I see
it as the middle ground...
Kind of deep for nothing, but I stuck for a long time.
Sloidusey... now that's a different story! A good AA.COM friend tried to type
solidus in real time (irc chat) and it somehow ended up like that! Incredible!
How do you go from solidus to sloidusey ?
biggrin:

Started out as Noctis Aeternus, which is Latin for eternal night.
Noctis (night) was just shorter and a hell of a lot easier.

Copied and pasted from the same topic posted in March:
In high school, my group of friends had our lockers in a part of the high school that people called the Zone. It was an alcove in the hallway with the elevator, the janitor's closet, and a water fountain. Anyway, since we were all in the Zone we were known as the Zoners. We were known as the mischief makers in the school, so no one screwed with the Zoners. We'd duct tape grade 10 students to poles, race folding chairs thru the halls, have in-school water fights, etc. Good times.
The '91 comes from the year we graduated high school, 1991.
I've used this nickname in various online capacities since 1993.

[quote="Simo Häyhä":1ae02]Some books about the finnish winter war told of a sniper who saved the finns at Kolla. Simo hayha killed 505 men in 100 days mostly using an unscoped m/27 at usually 800 yards out (he was also a big fan of the suomi too)[/quote:1ae02]
Dude, I don't know how that could be possible with an unscoped rifle at 800 yards...if you have 20/20 vision you cannot see past 500 yeards, much less 800.

My buddy and I were conplete n00bs trying to get help on unlooping h-cards on the irc. We would ask the most basic questions. Decided to call ourself pest just so the guys helping would know where we were coming from. The name seemed to carry over well into other areas too.

Way back when Starcraft came out, I was looking for names, I tried the usual "Killer" And such. But it was all taken. Then some day, I probably saw
a commercial/internet website of the loveable hunchback Quasimodo, Changed the spelling, and wha lah! Quze is for Short.

My girl friend used to call me Akuma. Akuma = Demon. Jigoku no Akuma = Demon of Hell.
As for this Gothic_child180 that was my email at the time.

Well, pelo, my username, is short for Pete Loncarovich who is a pro mountain-biker. This is also the alias I give to girls I will not see again.
Xorcist came after watching the movie "The Exorcist" and after having left my old clan as well as I needed a name change.
