COD looks very promising, but I hope their official site is innacurate,
it says at the beginning of Stalingrad you don't have a rifle,
but according to Enemy At the Gates (THE BOOK NOT DUMBASS MOVIE) only the retreating troops who initially defended Stalingrad didn't have enough guns (because many ditched them in retreat).
The fresh soldiers that came across the Volga in boats and barges all had enough weapons.

and screenshots point to the fact that you do come across in a reinforcement wave by boat.
