teh bottom line is as goes the US economy...so goes the world's...the US has positioned itself in a place were the "allies" need the US just as much as teh US needs them...what will be interesting is with ther Euros flexing their new found muscle (see resent repeal of steel taxes) will they keep the momentum going? Im a bit cynical when it comes to the whole WMD and Sadam was a "threat" to the UK and US..he was more a threat to his people and neighbors...but like i said in a previous post...Bush has balls...great big ones...sometimes thats all it takes stupid: sleeping: rolleyes:

I am still undecided on this. Canada - maybe, france - hell no, germany, russia - meh.

Look, all of these countries have had ample opportunity to kick in and "help". Its only become an issue once money was involved. Kind of reminds you of whores, doesnt it.

"Practical contributions to the reconstruction fund and to governance and security sector reform in Iraq represent our continued follow through on these commitments. The Madrid Donors Conference is another important opportunity for the international community to signal their support, and Canada urges others to come forward."

Minister Whelan also provided details on the police training initiative that will be managed by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).

"Canada will set aside $10 million from our pledge to send Canadian police trainers to Jordan in the coming months to train Iraqi police officers. Canada will also send a senior Canadian police officer to Baghdad to help develop strategies to strengthen the police sector," Minister Whelan said.

"I am pleased that the RCMP and Canadian police community are lending their well-known expertise to this effort, drawing upon their extensive experience in international training and peacekeeping," Minister Easter said. "This is further evidence that Canada remains committed to reconstruction efforts in Iraq by supporting the strengthening of governance, human rights and democracy and security sector reform."

Funding for these initiatives was provided for in the February 2003 federal budget and is therefore built in to the existing fiscal framework.

france and germany shouldnt get shit. russia should stfu, all they want is the investment they wasted on saddams regime. i dont know who else is off the list, but not participating shouldnt get you completely disqualified. france germany and russia openly opposed any path we tried to take and tried to lobby other nations to block us, i think they are the only ones who should get assed out.

Well, I can't speak for the US of Britain, but it's cost Australia a fucking fortune (That we don't have) to go to war in Afghanistan and Iraq, so we need all the revenue-raisers we can get. Hopefully, a Contract or two will be slung our way biggrin:
