sure lets just add miniguns and x-wings while we're at it. this guy has a record, from what ive seen, of going and typing random crap that he has no evidence will happen, unless "i have a billion sources" is evidence.

Sorry, parchy, the game is not a simulation and the game is not rooted in realism; it's an action shooter with great atmosphere, little more.

Dead soldiers do not drop magic health packs, allied soliders cannot take round after round from Nazi opponents and keep fighting, tiger tanks do not single-handedly destroy multiple villages and dozens of other tanks, and so on.

Hell, parchy, if the game was a "simulation," there wouldn't be any need for realism mods, would there?

And yet were that not enough, you say a laser-sighted gun modification would not be "permitted." Permitted by whom? The nameless, faceless entity that dictates what mods are created and what mods are not? Hate to tell you, but people will make any mods they want, without the scope of their abilities. There is no such thing as the mod not being "permitted," save regarding copyright issues. If somebody wanted to put aliens and plasma guns in the game, they could.

So you say nobody will create such a gun. Maybe they will, maybe they won't. Only time will tell. But you're reasoning here is laughable at best.

Yea but this game DOES have authentic World WarII weapons and Atmosphere in it.

If I wanted chainguns and lazer targeting thingys in World WarII I would be playing Return to Castle Wolfenstein not MOH.

who cares... if you want it, get it. if not, don't get it.

this game will only turn into "another idiotic "monsters and mutants" shooter like doom" if you do it.

You guys are so clueless, it's almost funny.

What does a laser sight do? It puts a mark on the target at any range so you know where you are aiming.

What does your crosshair do? It puts a mark on the target at any range so you know where you are aiming.

So you already have a laser sight dummies.

Oh, but no one will ever make one, because the gaming community is a bunch of intelligent, mature, sane, unselfish, non-cheating humanitarians that all think alike.

ha ha ha ha ha ha...

The short-sighted nutcases like Sh3ll_Sh0ck, Strik0r, and Sgt Stryker seem to be missing the whole point. I'm not surprised, yet I am.

The question is not whether somebody *should* make such a mod. Where you fellas got the idea that that was ever at issue baffles me. The question is if such a mod was currently being made - we don't know the answer - and some posters seemed to be under the mistaken idea that the game's WWII theme would prevent such a mod because laser sighted pistols were not used in the 1940s. As if that argument makes a lick of sense.

Calm yourselves. Nobody is endorsing plasma guns for Medal of Honor. Nobody is talking about making the mod. A little reading comprehension goes a long way.

Sorry, Flammenwerfer, that answer fails to pass the test. There is, after all, a skin of the *Predator* for goodness sake ... and I'm pretty sure there were no intergalactic alien hunters taking part in World War II.

that looks nothing like the predator.

a better question would have been,
whats the point of making a mod with a pistol with a laser sight on it, since noone who wants normal MOH will use it on their server thus making it a usless asthetic peice of eye candy.

It doesn't matter how good or bad the skin looks, it got made, as have other "unrealistic" skins that are not period-accurate.

That being the case, one could ask "whats (sic) the point of making a mod with an alien skin, since noone who wants normal MOH will use it on their server thus making it a usless asthetic (sic) peice (sic)of eye candy."

I suppose the point is, the mod-maker thought the mod in question would be "cool" and decided to go ahead and do it.

So, again, this *still* does little to counter the idea that this mod could (and might eventually) exist. You people seem to think that others will treat the game's 1940s atmosphere like some holy relic to be kept sacred. They won't.

So, *again*, if the question is, "I heard about Mod X, is it out there?" and the answer is, "it *couldn't* be out there, this is a realistic World War II game and Mod X is not realistic," the answer is wrong.

Well.....that will turn the game into another stupid, waste-of-time-shoot-em-up...I am king of the f*#king hill....waste of time!

Hell......I am so sick already of the cheats, the wankers with rockets, the talk of laser sights, the cheats, the Germans wearing american uniforms (because you don't have such-and-such a mod installed)...the f*#king cheats....

What started as a very promising simulation of WW2 combat, with the best of intentions to be at least a little realistic.....is closer to becoming a JOKE. Just another stupid fantasy shoot-em-up.......The promise of multiplayer is now turning simply into a way to meet complete idiots with brain cell problems........

My god...there are so many stupid, idiotic people out there! The shallow end of the gene pool is all playing computer games! (I guess it beats learning to read!)...

With that....I will close. Now I am going to sit back and watch the indignant replies roll in! hahahaha!
if you don't like it....too-f*#king-bad!
that's my opinion of a large percentage of you!

Oh...Cheers! Truppe.
