They keep coming. One after another.

I scan with Norton AV, nothing comes up. Ten minutes later, virus alert pops up.

Scan again, viruses come up. Deleted/Quarantined.

Twenty minutes later, virus alert pops up.

Scan again, no viruses come up.

Virus alert pops up.

Scan. Yes. Quarantine/Delete.

Virus alert pops up.

Scan. No.


.... so on and so on...

wtf ladies and gentlemen?! where are they coming from? i think it's because i lol'd at the pope, and now he is pissied off. eek:

There are some virii and trogans that the AV can't get rid of. WinTools is one of them. The only way to get rid of it is to reformat.

Slap the internet in the face and tell it to get on the pill.

Before you run your scan, go ahead and close every program that you can. Run your scans in safe mode if possible. If that, too, fails then I think you can run it via command prompt before windows loads by using the CD.

That's the way Norton seems to be anyway.

It is always a good idea if scanning for virus's to turn off system restore. also be aware norton has a lot of probs with false readings. For example it removes a file in TS as a virus but it isnt.
If possible do an online scan as well as norton and NEVER totally rely on 1 AV prog
