There are many prefabricated excuses that people say. What do they mean? Nothing. Just some things a preacher/priest said in a sermon that a person will repeat because they don't know the legitimate reason. If they were a true christian they would say something like "I do this because i believe the way jesus lived is how i should." Only a select few will say something of that matter. The rest won't because they do things on a regular basis that are frowned upon by a church. How do they avoid persicution? Stop going or join another denomination.

I believe they said it best in Dogma "No denomination's nailed it yet, because they're all too self-righteous to realize that it doesn't matter what you have faith in - just that you have faith." Its the basis of the whole religion, therefor, you can't argue against it. You can't have faith with out faith (sense?). Let me make it clear; people without faith don't believe the definition, therefor it doesn't exist.

I lack faith ... why? There is more out there that is unknown in the universe and since we decide since there is no other solution, why not believe in this religion? The answer to "Why are we here?" is out there, but it will just take time.
