I don't see what the big deal is, accidents happen. I'm sure if it was some local Chicago man who shot a friend on a hunting trip while it was dusk, it wouldn't make the front page of the sun times.

Why are you quoting that? That scenario has been established from the get go.
cuase it was said somewhere that whittington had walked in front of cheney, so it was his fault for getting shot. if he was behind cheney and the VP had to turn around to shoot, then dick should have been paying attention to what was in front of his face - as he obviously wasnt in front of him before.
