I should be moving out soon, however house prices here have jumped so drastically. There is a MAJOR housing shortage here because everyone is moving here because of the economy. They have had bidding wars for houses and have held auctions in which homes go for thousands over the asking price. It is insane. I don't know how i'm going to afford a house.

The house I live in was worth $300,000 5 years ago (bought it for way cheaper about 15 years ago) and now it's probably worth 3/4 of a million because of the shortage. Little dinky condos are going for like $400,000 and the only place I can find a place i can afford would be crack alley or something. It's nuts. May have to rent for a while and hopefully the market will slow down.
