Rudedog, Capt. McCusker, here, here. (or is it hear, hear?)

I think it's foolish to think that the maps aren't going to work after the expansion. That would be too much work. Why waste the money to pay developers to make a game less marketable? Not even EA is that backwards.

As to whining, you might as well try to empty the sea with a spoon as......
I know, because you can see various whine's perpetrated by myself on this forum as well.

That's what admins are for. To weed out the purile and pointless. Ok, the more extreme of the above. biggrin:

and FFS do NOT try and bring logic to the table as to EAs friggin marketing strategy bullshit guesswork. you cant get a patch for the worlds 2nd most popular online game you really think theres some grand plan to it. piss off.

I agree with McCusker... as for EA, they don't care about anyone who purchases or who plays this game. All they care about is to make money(not that they need it).And all the whiners, cheaters, etc. who cares, just play the game and ignore the ppl.

You know, we'll see when we see. When it comes out is when we'll find out whats what. I really don't care what anyones mother's cousin's sister who works for EA says. I also don't mind the frivolous speculation. I think it's interesting to read everyone's opinions and compare them to the facts as they present themselves. It's true that I also use this forum to occasionally vent my frustrations. But for you, remix, I find it laughable that you are so bothered by you lack of power over what happens to a PC game, that your only recourse is to resort to name calling, (not that that is so rare in these forums.) IMHO that's just a symptom of lack of education and personal issues.
I'd say wait until the exp. comes out and we'll see, but I already know who the fool is on this thread.

I have to admit they need to make spearhead a little more battlefield war than secret ops. and also let us drive the vehicles around. Or go paratrooping into battle. Not o let me sneak behind this german and fuck him up with my smg while i go sabatoge. I mean cmon enough with the one man alone shit. fire1: M16:

I'm no mapper/modder/skinner, but let me see if I understand this right. You're saying that the exp pack will modify the game in such a way as to eliminate all custom maps. Wouldn't that include some of the maps that they got from the community? Not only that, but as far as I know it, unless the map has scripting in such a way that actually modifies parts of the game (ctf or vehicles maybe), then they're just maps. Nothing specific about them that could be eliminated from servers due to a patch. And even those that we may love that have modified portions of game play wouldn't add up to all of the maps you're claiming.

Here's what I suggest. Since none of us truely know what's in store when the exp comes out, let's hold back on the rumours of what will happen until we've actually seen what will happen.

As for everyone getting pissed off or bored to tears with the game, I'm just sick to death of all this. If you're truely tired of the game, then there are plenty of other entertaining options in the world you can turn your attention to. I for one am tired of hearing all the complaining that's been going on lately - they're cheaters; we're not cheaters, they just suck; EA sucks; blah blah blah... It's never ending, and some of us are still trying to enjoy a game that has plenty of potential even without support from EA.

I know this is nothing but flamebait to most of you, but really... Try to perk up, or find another hobby. No one's forcing you to shell out any cash for anything, so buy or don't - no one will think less of you either way. At least the honorable people won't.[/quote:04531]

I agree. The game's very one-person, even with their supposed team-play adjustments with the exp. pack.

But that's what makes this game unique and bf1942 unique. Besides, they obviously had some trouble with the ai scripting as even in the sp missions where you teamed up with someone you couldn't really order them to do anything or control their actions to a degree.

Perhaps if the exp pack has a good amount of success and enough of the public asks for it, we might see a better scripted ai in a future exp. pack (I know this post will be flamed lol M16: )

You gotta realize that even though MOH and BF1942 are both FPS's, they are totally different games. MOH focuses on strict gameplay, team-stragety, and run-n-gun. BF1942 focuses more on FPS/RPG gameplay, much like Renegade, and focuses more on the use of vechiles, along with interaction with other players.

Both are great games. The lack of support for MOH disappoints me ALOT. It's like EA left MOH high and dry. Now that BF1942 is out, they've switched their attention.

PS: Unless you know for a fact that all of the MOH maps will be incompatiable with MOH once Spearhead is installed, don't say that please.

I find it laughable that tools like yourself will rush out to hand over money to a company on the day of release for a buggy expansion pack from a developer that provides no support whatsoever to its users.

Its also pretty hilarious that after reading some EA guy post like a month ago that they were unaware of basically any bugs in the game that you think the xpack thats less than a month away is somehow going to be streets ahead of the buggy full version. Well you sure as shit know there aint gonna be no ongoing support for the fucker so that is one hell of a lot of faith to put in developers.

EA guy on PMOH: "can you explain 'MG42 team switch bug'?" LMAO
