Thank goodness for that! I had visions of it blowing up and turning your entire neighbourhood into this...

For the hundreds upon hundreds of forumites that care....

Everything's running sweetly so far, but one of the sticks of RAM was fucked so I'm trundling along on 1GB until new stuff arrives. It was the first time I'd installed a bolt-on heatsink and I was a little bit , but nothing got squished. I'm running it passively so my PC is lovely and quiet; if a mouse farted in the room right now I'm sure I'd be able to hear it.

Buttocks, I don't mean to pry, but how much did you pay for a system like that?

I keep having these little after thoughts of whether or not to invest in one.

It cost....

Intel Core 2 Duo E8200...............................£94.99
Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 3450.....................£21.99
Samsung SpinPoint F1 500GB SATA-II...........£39.99
Asus P5K Motherboard................................£59.99
Corsair 2GB DDR2.......................................£31.99
Antec Three Hundred Case.........................£31.99
Thermalright HR-01 PLUS heatsink................£26.99

.................................................. ..Total: £307.93

That works out at $607.66, but I'd say it'd be a lot cheaper than that over there.
