I always thought it was common knoledge that if something is blocking the road (besides humans...i guess) the most important thing is to keep driving...because swerving away just adds to the problem.
Hell if everyone is happy to kill deers hunting...why expect someone to swerve...at leats it is purposlly getting in your way unlike int he forest.

there were mountains on the one side if I recall correctly and I don't think the truck was visible when she swerved. This girl drove a honda civic, that car hitting a deer at highway speed would have messed up the car and both passengers. No fault.
Also, I'm pretty sure the guy would have to press charges to get Cheney prosecuted, and they were pretty good friends from what I hear, so I wouldn't expect it.

I know about the mountains. Someone here wanted an example of "No Fault" and my fictional story was one of "No Fault". It was just an example.
....and Pyro, you never cease to amaze me with the shit that comes from your warped mind. Tell me your whole existance on this forum is just for our enjoyment. There's no way you're like that in person....please tell us that.

The fact that I don't like hondas?
The fact that hitting a deer is better than fucking up your own life?
or the fact that cheeney should get in shit for what he did?
Yeah, that's what I really think.
Maybe the girls should of been driving in the speed limit and were watching the road to see if something was going to move infront of them...if they had time to swerve.,..they had time to look too.

No, this cock statement.
1. Should of bought a decent car.
How in the fuck would driving anything other than a Honda make a difference when confronted with a semi head on? Get your head out of your ass.

The question is not who wants to die in *insert brand here* car, its who wants to die at all? No one. First thing I learned when driving was that if a deer or something small walked into the road, it might hurt hitting it, but Ill live. If its bigger than a deer(horse, cow, moose etc.) you put your foot on the brake, and push that pedal through the floor.
Pyro I think you live in a more urban setting(correct me if Im wrong) so let me put it into perspective for your feeble mind . Your average deer stands no more than 4.5 feet tall at the shoulders. They weigh in up to I dunno 200lbs or so. Hitting them is probably not going to kill you unless something weird happens.
I myself have seen moose that stand over 6 feet tall at the shoulder, and weighting in well over 1,000 pounds. I have nearly hit 3 moose, countless deer, a bear, and various other animals and I will say that seeing a moose in the road scared me the most. Each time I have managed to stop in time, once within 10 feet of the moose, which from that distance took up the entire windshield. I have also nearly hit two moose at once. I have had a friend die a horrible death because of a moose. He was driving a civic, at night, doing the speed limit, paying attention to the road, but the moose ran out from the woods and he had no time to react.
Most people who have not expierenced things such as the above, or who have not been warned/trained/prepaired to expierence a deer or such in the road might react in a way that causes them or others harm, it happens. However if you are prepaired for it, then you will have a better chances at survival.
Now despite everything, despite any training you've had and everything yo uahve learned. Sometimes when something surpises you, you just react. In the case of these girls They probably justt reacted. Yes they probably would have lived if they went any direction except left, but if your minds eye sees empty road to the left, you in a car, and danger ahead, its goign ot push you to the left. The fact a semi was there did not occur to them nor is it the girls faults. And lets face it, anycar against a semi is basically certain death(look back a few pages to thread about the heavy duty deisel pickup that hit a semi head on). Now stop insulting peoples dead friends, and peers.
AS for cheney, well Ill make a guess hes been hunting for more than that one trip, He has used a shotgun before, he knows the laws and all that. Now, he should also have a mature and well trained mind to know to take that half a second longer than needed to make sure shooting in that direction was ok. From the sound of it, if cheney aimed any higher the guy might not be alive. Thus cheney is at serious fault for this incident, as is the other man for not saying he was walking into the shooting area.

[quote:ae4d0]Q Was anybody drinking in this party?
THE VICE PRESIDENT: No. You don't hunt with people who drink. That's not a good idea. We had --
Q So he wasn't, and you weren't?
THE VICE PRESIDENT: Correct. We'd taken a break at lunch -- go down under an old -- ancient oak tree there on the place, and have a barbecue. I had a beer at lunch. After lunch we take a break, go back to ranch headquarters. Then we took about an hour-long tour of ranch, with a ranch hand driving the vehicle, looking at game. We didn't go back into the field to hunt quail until about, oh, sometime after 3:00 p.m.
The five of us who were in that party were together all afternoon. Nobody was drinking, nobody was under the influence.[/quote:ae4d0]
1 beer over 1 hour = not intoxicated at all.
