Default my internet connection!!! - 03-04-2003, 02:01 PM

I am in the UK, and I live in an area where broadband is not yet available. I can not play online because of my very poor connection. I have heard that there is a 'bot' patch for some games where the computer takes control of enemies, allowing you to play multiplayer off-line. Can anyone tell me if this is possible please?
THANKS

Yes, jv_map recently released a patch for MOH to allow you to play bots in MOH rather than real players.

Satelite connections provide incredible download speeds, but the latency is unplayable. The pings are worse than dial up.

ok, d/l the bot map going to try it soon. I think it is a great shame that there is no patch so you can do this with all maps! but then again I am a bit of a pc novice so I would not know what is involved in the creation of such a patch. Thanks to you all..

What about wireless internet? My ISP just recently announced that they will have it. Will it be just as slow as 56k too? I know it won't beat cable but is it worth the extra money each month?
