Editing MoH:AA Pak Files -
02-07-2004, 09:41 PM
Hey all,
I was just wondering what would happen if I did this:
Say I want to experiment and try to add totally new weapons, so I go into the proper Pak file (ex. Pak0.pk3) and copy it so that I have two and I keep the original in a safe place. Once I'm finished editing, I put the edited Pak back in my MoHAA Main folder.
Could this ruin my game, even if after the test I delete the edited Pak and put the original back in?

You have discovered the " Basics " of self taught Modding.
Keep playing around until you have to reinstall the game...... By the time that happens you will have learned quite a bit about modding.
At least that is how I learned. biggrin:

YOu can just make a .pk3 file.
a put the right folders in it.
Its
Textures>models>weapons>gun name> your skin
IF its for a model, you have to add another folder thing, i dont know. My model is only 1/2 way done.

i have been able to add guns instead of replacing them, but you have to pick them up off the ground and use them.im not sure how to get them into the menu, but with a little work,we can do it.but really, mohaa insnt worth doing that to.its getn old
