Default MUCH Slower FPS than normal, PLZ help!!! - 09-25-2002, 06:10 PM

I had MOH installed on my system and it worked just fine. then i had to re-format and reinstall win2000 on my machine. i put MOH back on, got the patch and everything, and booted it up. now when i play i only get like 15-30 FPS when i play, compared to the 95 i used to get. what is the deal Here!??! can someone PLZ help me, i cant even tell when im getting shot at, its pathetic, plz help!!!

i have:
AMD athlon XP 1600+ processor
40 Gig 7200RPM HD
512MB DDR ram
ATI All in wonder 8500DV ( with 64mb DDR )

i should be getting at LEAST like 75 Fps, plz help!

do you happen to have any updated video drivers that you didnt re-install? or maybe you need to re-input the max_fps-command-thinger.

Make shure you close every thing before u play. Even a virus scan. I have a new dell 1.8 gig p4 20 gig 7200 rpm hdd and 128 mb DDR RAM. not sure what the vid card is but its probly cheap. i get alot of lag if another program is runnin. Also try to get win XP or 98 cuz 2000 sux. No offense tho.

Did you reinstall any chipset drivers from your motherboard. I would also make sure you reinstalled the same drivers you where using b4. Sometimes newer drivers can cause problems.

Also try defragging your system.

As they said, update all the drivers you have for your BIOS, sound, video, and DirectX. Run Auto-configure in the MOHAA directory. See if that helps.
